i am so bad at updating this blog. i love the concept of keeping of my adoring fans (my family) updated with an online journal -- and highlighting the beautiful families and friends i get to shoot. so, here is my end of the year resolution -- to attempt to do this at least once a week. yes i get busy, but so do you and let's be honest shall we, sometimes it is nice to take a little break and look at some heartwarming images.

just a cheerful call to a friend :)

fair time.

my favorite place. pioneer hall at the iowa state fair. you wonder why? they have the best lemonade (in the world) in this little barn. they house affordable and fun antiques (all of tenley's wall art) and last but not least they always have a sweet little old band playing. i am in love. oh and the top photo is tenley's first capture of most of my body so i had to include it :). enjoy.

i love my dog. end of story. she is our family. he full time job is keeping a watchful eye on our house and thinks she saves us on a constant basis from squirrels. we love her and hope you have a special fur friend in your life! make sure to adopt if considering adding a new family member! enjoy :).

met some new friends today at another bridal shower. children are always the easiest for me to capture. they are so sweet, curious and generally smiling. tenley was thrilled to have friends at the latest party and find lipgloss. enjoy.

my beautiful sister-in-law is getting hitched in two weeks. this means that my life is now a hectic schedule filled with showers, shopping and crafting. i happen to love every moment of it :). i couldn't tear myself away from the cute appetizers and desserts at her 50's themed shower. here are a few of the treats. enjoy!

i think she might like basketball. hopefully she has my grandma's skills. :). for those of you who may not know, my grandma was asked to be on one of the first professional woman's basketball teams. the texas tumbleweeds. enjoy!

the little one started dance and she moves all the time. i can't even usually get her to hold still for me to take her picture. it might be the cutest thing i have ever witnessed to watch a room full of giggling two-year-olds twirl and spin. enjoy these simple images and enjoy the little ones in your life.
